Enhancements in Amazon Shipping V2 Carrier Implementation for Amazon Orders

1. We added support for the following carriers based on carrier rate responses:

  • FedEx
  • UPS
  • USPS
  • OnTrac

2. We added support for these shipping options:

  • Signature option
  • Saturday delivery

3. FedEx, UPS, and USPS provide multiple service levels. We attached a service list based on the latest rate responses and will update it as new services become available. We group all services by Aptean Ship code. For each carrier, the UI displays only the minimum-cost service within each group. For UPS and FedEx, the system displays the Saturday delivery rate only when the user selects the Saturday delivery option.

4. For Amazon orders, carriers include value-added services in the rate response. We verify the isRequired field in these services. When this field is true, we select and pass at least one service ID with the lowest cost to the Purchase Shipment API call. Additionally, carriers return supportedDocumentSpecifications in the rate response. We pass the requested document specifications to the Purchase Shipment API call according to the supported list from each carrier. We also included the carrier-provided reference document for these specifications.

5. For non-Amazon orders, carriers return a single rate response, Amazon Ground Shipping.
