Custom Companies

Custom Co supports Rating, BOL Generation, Pickup, Tracking, and Void Shipment electronically in Aptean ship, and prints package labels and BOL documents.

Pre-requisite:

When the API implementation is completed, the customer should contact

• Contact Custom Co Rep.
• Request your Username and Password for the respective account number to access the API integration and confirm readiness for live operations.

The APIs Supported by Cusotm Co and implemented in Aptean ship:

• Rate API
• BOL API
• Tracking API
• Pickup API and
• Void API

Account Setup:

1. In Aptean ship, select setup-> Carrier Interface-> Custom Co
2. Select ‘Accounts’ and click on ‘New Account’
   
3. Enter the account name that will identify this account in Aptean ship. Enter the Account Name, Username (Username provided by the carrier for API access) and Password and then click on ‘Next’
   
4. Enter the Address used for the Custom Co account and click on ‘Next’.
   

5. Configure Billing type
   1. Tendering Type: The choices are Call, Electronic, or Daily Pickup. Aptean Ship will only send a pickup request to Custom Co when Electronic is selected. For the Call or Daily Pickup options, you must contact the carrier directly.
   2. Enable Prepaid: Check to enable a default Prepaid Billing Type.
   3. Default Prepaid Billing Type: This is the default Billing Type for shipments that are paid for by the shipper. You can select from Sender or any other 3PL that you set up in Maintain > 3PL. These settings affect the options available for Billing in the Transportation section of the Shipment Editor.
      

6. If Pickup is required, then user can select this ‘Request Pickup’ option to enable electronic pickup and click on finish to complete the account setup
